The Little Sun solar panel lamp, designed by artist Olafur Eliason, spreads light in parts of Africa where electricity is scarce, or as an alternative to polluting, expensive kerosene. It delivers ten times more light at a tenth of the cost of the most common wick-based lantern.

Little Suns are making a big positive impact in the communities where they’re used, because they enable people to work and study when they otherwise wouldn’t be able to, cost less than other sources of light and reduce pollution. A simple and beautiful solution to a very real need.
